Many times, in life we have to adjust the duration of our goals due to factors outside of our control. If you’re mindful over the course of your career journey, you’ll automatically be more patient and moreover, you’ll be more focused on the process and not the time.
You know, its not where you are going that’s important but who you become during the journey.
So, stop comparing yourself with another on their unique journey as they too have not arrived. Though it may seem they are steaming ahead they too are on an journey yet to be completed, and they will be the first to talk about what it is they must do to achieve. So, it’s just, “Not Yet!” for both of you.

Taking a break to reflect, resolve, reset, refocus, evolve and flow is essential to your mental health well-being and especially in the heat of the moment when you are feeling under pressure.
Action Points
- 1Find an activity you enjoy doing. Ensure the activity increases your pulse rate.
- 2Commit to the activity and consider what you need to do to improve your performance.
- 3Reflect on what you did well and what you could have done better.
- 4Resolve to make improvements in that area.
- 5Reset as you make mental or written improvements in that area.
- 6Refocus on what is needed to improve your whole performance.
- 7Evolve mentally making adjustments during an activity and watch your strategical thinking improve.
- 8The more you practice the easier the task becomes, and you start to respond intuitively finding flow.
